These things are heavy, I tied a string to one and tied the string to my body to do curls. I’m getting pretty buff, I’m ready to unleash my muscle in a woman’s bodyOverall good quality barbells. Unlike several of the bad reviews, these had no flaws, blisters, or malformations in the rubber. Also, even though there was some odor from the new rubber, it was not overwhelming like some claim. Consider it like the new car smell. At most, until they age a bit, you might want to wipe them off a bit and not sit them on anything that might get stained for long periods (i.e. overnight). Use the rack or place them on something protective.All the dumbbells weighed in within 1/2 pound of the listed weight. Grips are effective and sized right.The only issue is with the rack that comes with the set. Several of the plastic pins that hold the plastic weight cradles were missing. Did have enough to put at least on with each plastic cradle so that it would not come off. Also, the spacing for the 35#, 30#, and 25# were a bit too close. It was difficult to remove the 30# from between the other two. Definitely more difficult to remove the 35# from in under the 30#. Another inch between them would be better.They feel heavier than 45s i dont know if that might be good or bad for youDumbbells are pricey but these are of good quality from what I can tell.I got these for my daughter. She loves them. She has been using the neoprene covered weights and they feel a bit bulky, she likes the smaller and more controlled feel of the metal grips.Was weary ordering these based upon the mixed reviews but happy to report that we received the listing as described and no issues with smell. Can't beat the price and happy to add these to our home gym.Excellent! Thank you!These are the most affordable rubberized dumbbells that I could find on the internet. And best of all, they are not lacking in quality. The textured grip is nice and substantial enough to prevent them from slipping out of your hands if you're not wearing gloves. The lb numbers are large enough to read from a distance.It would have been nice if the numbers were done in a contrasting color, like white, but no big deal.Despite buying these as a full 100-pound set, each pair is shipped separately in their own box. This means that I got 5 separate shipments (which happened to come on all different days). For me, I happen to like that each pair was shipped in a separate box because it made getting them into the house much easier than having to drag a 100 lb box into the house.You can't go wrong with these dumbbells. I'm really happy with them.
